The Peach Brunch Guide

Peach brunch table for 10 in a garden

The full setup for a garden brunch for 10: table, favors, and two recipes. About $15 a guest. Every link in one place.

The table

Pile fresh peaches on the top tier of the stand, croissants and little cakes below. Fill the vases with whatever your garden gives you.

The favor

Sweet Peach Brew Pop on a blush plate with a thank you tag

A Sweet Peach Brew Pop at each seat. Not a trinket that ends up in a drawer: a handmade peach heart that melts into a real cup of tea, so your guests drink your gift a week later, thinking of your table all over again. Ten favors for ten guests — $55.

The salad

Ten minutes of work that looks like an hour. Your Trader Joe's run:

  • Organic Mixed Greens, two bags
  • Six ripe peaches
  • Crumbled Goat Cheese
  • Candied Pecans
  • Peach Flavored Glaze, $2.99 — the star of the salad, seasonal until October, grab two before it vanishes

Greens on a platter, peach wedges over them, goat cheese and pecans on top, glaze in a thin drizzle. Accept the compliments. Serves 10.

The drink

Peach iced tea, the color of sunset: brew any black tea strong (8 bags for a gallon), cool it, add two sliced peaches and a squeeze of lemon, chill for an hour, serve over ice. Serves 10.

The math

The table and serving: $87.37. Ten favors: $55. Fresh peaches for the stand: about $8. Just over $150 for the full setup, about $15 a guest. The food itself is your kitchen's business, and with the two recipes above, the menu practically plans itself.
